50 ACTORS WE COULD SEE IN THE FIFTY SHADES OF GREY MOVIE

With Fifty Shades of Grey fever sweeping the nation, we've all been buzzing about which stars we can see as smoldering Christian and naive young Anastasia. Some readers even had suggestions for the supporting players (most notably Elena, aka Mrs. Robinson). To help you mix and match your leads, check out this list of casting suggestions and tell us which guy and gal would make your fantasy Fifty Shades couple.

Matt BomerMatt Bomer

An overwhelming number of readers chose Matt Bomer for Christian Grey, no doubt in part to his beautiful eyes and general good looks. The fact that he rocks those business suits on White Collar only helps his cause.

Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke is best known as strong-willed Daenerys on Game of Thrones, and she certainly looks more like Ana without the long blond tresses she wears on the HBO series.

Kristen Stewart

It's no surprise that Twilight fans are rallying aroundKristen Stewart, and let's face it: if she wasn't already playing Bella Swan, then she would be great as Anastasia. A few readers noted that Christian and Ana will need the same level of chemistry as Bella and Edward have, but others have pointed out thatFifty Shades of Grey should be its own animal with its own fresh faces.

Joseph Morgan

Ian Somerhalder might be the name on everyone's lips, but some of you would rather see his hotVampire Diaries costar Joseph Morgan in the role. One commenter added that Morgan has shown range on the show, boasting both complex and softer sides on the small screen.

Julianne Hough

It's hard to disassociate Hough from musicals and dance movies, but some fans would love to see her career take a more dramatic turn with the role of Ana in Fifty Shades of Grey.

Isabel Lucas

A lot of fans want to see Henry Cavill play Christian inFifty Shades of Grey, but some are more interested in seeing his Immortals costar Isabel Lucas as the female lead.

Henry Cavill

We'll have a better idea of what Henry Cavill can do after his upcoming Superman movie, but many of you would rather see him in a different kind of suit. One commenter suggested that the only thing separating Cavill from Christian are some copper highlights in his hair.

Kim Cattrall

Given Kim Cattrall's turn as Samantha on Sex and the City, it's easy to see why readers can picture her as Mrs. Robinson in Fifty Shades of Grey.

Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer is definitely gorgeous enough to pull off the role of Mrs. Robinson, who intimidates Ana as Christian's former lover.

Alexandra Daddario

Alexandra Daddario (who recently had a stint onParenthood) could be a contender, thanks to her big blue eyes and smile.

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal, 31, has the good looks that make him a contender for Christian, but I'm skeptical about whether he's edgy enough to pull off Christian's temper.

Chace Crawford

At 26, Chace Crawford is right on point when it comes to Christian's age, and there's no doubt that the Gossip Girl star is easy on the eyes. Then again, one commenter mentioned that he may be better for the role of Ethan, a friend of Ana's in the book.

Shailene Woodley

Fresh off her star-making turn in The Descendants, Shailene Woodley fits the age description for Ana, and she's proved she can handle the adult subject matter.

Jessica Stroup

One reader said she'd love to see 90210's Jessica Stroup play Anastasia, and Stroup's look has the right balance of striking and girl-next-door.

Lily Collins

It's easy to see Lily Collins as a kid, since she recently played doe-eyed Snow White in Mirror, Mirror, but the 23-year-old could show off her range by playing Anastasia in Fifty Shades.

Kaya Scodelario

Kaya Scodelario came close to nabbing the role of Katniss in The Hunger Games, but a few of you would rather see her nab a lead in the Fifty Shades trilogy.

Sharon Stone

Anyone who's seen Basic Instinct can explain whySharon Stone is a popular suggestion to play Mrs. Robinson.

Ashley Greene

A lot of readers can see Kristen Stewart as Ana, since Fifty Shades of Grey was originally written asTwilight fan fiction. On the other hand, a few commenters mentioned that they'd prefer to see Stewart's Twilight costar Ashley Greene in the role.

Robert Pattinson

It's no surprise that Twilight fans want to see their leading man as Christian Grey, especially since Fifty Shades of Grey started out as fan fiction for the vampire saga. Still, that's the exact reason why some people think Pattinson should sit this one out and let someone else sparkle in the sun this time.

Armie Hammer

One reader commented that Armie Hammer is a physically great choice, but it's hard to envision the actor doing dark and mysterious after his recent turn as a charming prince in Mirror, Mirror.

Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling is a strong candidate age-wise, and he certainly has a perfect smolder, so it's no surprise that many of you believe Gosling to be the perfect choice to lead Fifty Shades of Grey.

James Scott

James Scott has starred on soap operas Days of Our Lives and All My Children, and his good looks have obviously turned heads. One commenter noted that with some contacts, he'd be a perfect Christian Grey.

Diane Lane

Mrs. Robinson (aka Elena) doesn't technically appear in the first Fifty Shades book, but that hasn't stopped readers from suggesting Diane Lane for the role.

Chris Evans

A few of you envisioned Captain America himself, Chris Evans, when you were reading 50 Shades of Grey. One commenter added that Evans has the right acting chops to handle the intensity and complexity of the role.

Ellen Barkin

One commenter suggested Ellen Barkin for the role of Mrs. Robinson but added that she might be a bit too old for the part.

Sean Faris

Sean Faris has had a number of TV roles over the years, and his disarming smile has stayed with his fans, who are ready to rally behind him to take on Christian Grey.

Josh Duhamel

Josh Duhamel is another contender who might be disqualified based on age (he's 39), but hey, they could always rewrite the character to make him a little older.
